Default Urban Revival Walls and Floors
So I am creating a set of build mode walls and floors. I currently have the brick and stone walls ready. There are some wood paneling walls I will be adding as well. This set would work wonderfully in a modern home, restaurant, etc. Here is a basic picture of the brick and stone walls. I will have in game pictures soon. I just wanted to get a feel from the MTS2 community on the usefulness of these or if there are already tons out there. I made them for my hood, so I wanted to share. Thanks!

Brick Walls - Mortar Love I-VI
Stone Walls - So Stoned I-V

(Just some fun names I came up with)
I hope to find some nice modern tile to add to the set as well

Awesome! Once I get some tiles in there. I think I will be good to go then! I'm thinking the tile set can be Grout it Out? Idk, something punny

Ok, so I have all the brick walls ready but one. I ran into an issue I've never had. What would cause this to happen?

I'm not sure if it is squishing it down or cutting it off, but it's a small strip of the texture and then black on Home Crafter. The similar textures can from the same site and I resized them with the same program and everything.

UPDATE: I just made more wall textures using Home Crafter with no problem. I also got the textures from the same site. Maybe it was just a bad download? Maybe if I try and re download it that may solve the issue....hopefully

UPDATE 2: So redownloading the texture did not solve the issue. I really hate to exclude it, but it might be the file itself.....I'm really not sure what else it can be. To make up for it though, I have found some more awesome stone textures to add in I'll update with pictures soon!

Do you want to post a link to that texture? Maybe one of us looking at it might work out what the issue is.

@maxon, out of curiosity did you have a chance to check out the texture? Just wondering if you found a solution or not

Sorry - I didn't see your message. Unfortunately, I'm very busy at work right now.

I thought it might be because the texture had the wrong colour depth but it seems to be full colour so it's not that. Also - see the picture. Working fine for me, so I'm not sure what's going on. What exactly is your procedure? Which graphics programme are you using and are you changing the image in any way. What I did with that was resize the texture to the correct width and then use layers to copy-paste several copies to tile them into a wall.

I was using paint.net. What I did was find the pattern, and crop it so it was still seamless. Then resizing it. It could be possible that the texture pattern might be too large? I can take some in game pictures and show them. If they are too large, then I can make them a bit smaller. I'll update with the pictures on this post.

Why don't you post your cropped texture here and I'll run it through Homecrafter and see if I can reproduce the problem?

Ah, great idea. And definitely let me know if you think the stone pattern is too large. I can always down size them.

That image is a jpg. Is that exactly what you used to make the wall? If so, I don't know how you did it - at least my copy of Homecrafter doesn't recognise jpgs. When I converted it to a bmp, it worked fine (though it's not entirely seamless as you can see).

Hmm, you're right. I didn't notice that on the other textures. Maybe I'll have to play around with it to make it look a little nicer.

Also, I only uploaded as a jpg since I wasn't sure uploading a bmp on the forum would work. But I do use bmps only in Homecrafter

Well, I can't test it unless it's the original file. You could upload it inside a zip.

maxon,

I guess I am confused on what you're asking. You want the bmp file from me in a zip? Sorry.

Yes, you can put the bmp in a zip and the site will allow you to upload that.

Hello, my name is Duine and I'm a wallandflooraholic having 3000+ files and more I want to add. (after sorting out what I don't seem to use) I think this comes from living in Florida where walls almost always seem to be some form of white. (:

Love your walls, the details are nice and clear. Your waves, weaves and owls are exactly what I need for an idea I've had for a long time, but never found textures that had the right look. Are you planning matching floors for them too? I would love floors and sure others would. Great work!

@ Duine, that is a great point you have about floors. The only floors I have are the matching floors for the tile walls and the 3 different stone floors. If you have any suggestions please let me know! I apologize it is taking so long to upload, but there has been an issue with one of the textures.

@ maxon, here is your .bmp zip file. I just noticed when I went to save it that there were 3 different bmp options. 16, 256, 24 and monochrome bitmap. This one I saved as 24.

UPDATE: Haha, of course I went to try it and it happens correctly. I was unable to make it more straight though...not sure how noticeable it is in game though. I'll have to check on that.

Oh - I did wonder if that was the problem. Yes - makes sense.

Edit:
Here's an edited version of the bmp so it matches and is seamless. See picture - does that work for you?

I was thinking floors to match the wavy, woven and owly ones, not the brick and tiles, unless others are interested in them or they're done already. Thanks for the lovely walls! (:

@ Duine Hmm, I'll have to think what kind of flooring would go well with those stone walls. Thanks for the feedback!

@maxon That looks wonderful! Thank you so much for figuring that out for me

UPDATE: I am having issues with another wall texture in my Home Crafter. @maxon, want to try this one too?
